About Us

The CP Swing Club puts on weekly beginning/intermediate swing lessons for students and community members. Additionally, we host a number of workshops a year that bring together teachers and dancers from and in out of town. Each year the SLO Lindy Exchange gets biggers and bigger, bringing in an array of bands, DJs and dancers from all over California and even the world. A part from the swing events, we are also the care takers for SLO's blues dance scene. Our weekly venue, Drop Dead Blues, provides lessons and social dancing into the wee hours of the morning. We have a reputation for being of the cheapest scenes in the state and are dedicated to maintaining that reputation by making our events as cheap as possible.

These events are put on by a group of ten officers, comprised of Cal Poly students, Cuesta students, and grads, who offer their free time to organize the events for the greater dancing community.
